Conservation Through Tourism
Veun Sai-Siem Pang National Park in the news
Gibbon Experience Cambodia supports the conservation efforts of Conservation International (CI) and the local communities that manage the 57,500 hectare (136,000 acre) Veun Sai-Siem Pang National Park.
We combin wildlife tourism with environmental protection National Park. Our guided treks allow guests to witness rare northern yellow-cheeked gibbons (Nomascus annamensis) in their natural habitat — without disturbing the delicate ecosystem they depend on.
Tourism Supporting Local Conservation
A $50 Community contribution fee per person/per booking directly goes to the local community. This model of tourism-driven conservation has been highlighted in various regional reports as an example of how eco-tourism can have long-term positive impacts on both people and planet.
Empowering Local Communities
Gibbon Experience Cambodia partners with Indigenous and Khmer communities living near the park, providing opportunities for additional income as drivers, cooks, and support staff. Local guides are expertly trained not only in wildlife tracking but also in sharing their cultural heritage — giving guests a deeper, more authentic connection to the region.
